In a collaboration with INO-CNR in Pisa, the European Laboratory for Non-Linear Spectroscopy (LENS) in Florence, and the University of Florence, we investigate quantum phenomena in highly magnetic dysprosium gases.

Milestones include breakthroughs in supersolidity, dipolar interactions, and quantum phase transitions. Current efforts aim to observe new phenomena in dipolar supersolids and deepen the understanding of dipolar quantum many-body systems.

A new dysprosium experiment under construction at LENS will expand these research frontiers.
